The April 2012 wallpaper is based upon a photo I took a few years back at the Woodland Cemetery (Skogskyrkogården) in Stockholm.
The photo shows the Memorial Garden, which lies on a hill near the main entrance. The original design was done by Sigurd Lewerentz in 1961. Since it had the addition of a memorial site for laying flowers up on the hill it was redesigned by Göran Bergquist and Jan Wahlman as a stepped water feature for cut flowers.
The original photo has been edited with the onOne Software Adobe Photoshop plugins to give it an arty look.

The February 2012 wallpaper has Norwegian origin. The photo was taken within the arctic circle at the island Spitsbergen, Svalbard. The small airport of Longyearbyen can be seen at the bottom of the photo.
When I was visiting Svalbard a few years back in the month of March temperatures were at -25C (-13F) and the strong wind made it feel like -50C (-58F)! It was almost too cold to be outside with your camera and shoot beautiful landscapes.

The photo for the January 2012 wallpaper was taken in the village Volendam in the province Noord-Holland in the Netherlands.
A traditional Dutch windmill is marking one of the entry roads to the old fishing village. Volendam is not only well known for its eel fishing, but also for a long line of successful and popular musicians and singers. The Volendam style music is often referred to as the eel-sound!
